Director of Pediatric Hospital Medicine, SSUH – Suffolk County, NY
The Cohen Children’s Northwell Health Pediatric Service Line and Department of Pediatrics at Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/ Northwell Health is seeking a full-time board eligible/board certified Pediatric Hospitalist to direct the In-Patient Pediatrics Unit and lead the Division of Pediatric Hospital Medicine at South Shore University Hospital in Bay Shore, NY. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years’ experience in Pediatric Hospital Medicine, the ability to oversee the quality improvement activities of the department, a track record in teaching and supervising residents and the requisite administrative skills.
Highlights include:
- Lead role in developing clinical protocols
- Attend administrative and academic meetings
- Responsibilities include patient care, supervision of learners, and QI oversight.
- Participation in clinical research is available.
- Opportunities are available for collaboration with Cohen Children’s Medical Center to implement best practices, develop clinical policies and procedures and participate in scholarly activities.
This is an exceptional opportunity to join a collaborative team of six Pediatric Hospitalists covering nursery care, inpatient pediatrics, and emergency department consults.
