Academic Highlights, starts 2024:

- Make a lasting impact by helping to build a new IM residency while shaping residents to be excellent clinicians training at our 450-bed trauma center in Newport News, Virginia
- You will train and educate Residents while providing care to patients who present with challenging pathologies, practice evidenced based medicine and provide quality care
- Personal pursuit of scholarly activity as well as mentorship of residents. Scholarly activity can include original research, podium, poster or workshop presentations, quality improvement/patient safety initiatives, grand rounds, journal review, journal editorial board member, grant leadership and other publications.
- Inpatient focus at one hospital with dedicated time for research and administrative duties, working a 7 on 7 off schedule with three Resident teams, eight Faculty
- Integrated health system, physician leadership, collaborative teams
- Excellent support from all specialists but requires an interdisciplinary, team-based approach to patient care
- Competitive compensation package with sign-on bonus, relocation, and extensive benefits. Riverside is a non-for-profit qualifies for the Federal Loan Forgiveness Program
