The VA Medical Center located in Manchester, New Hampshire is actively recruiting for a full-time permanent Primary Care Staff Physician to provide comprehensive medical treatment to a Veteran patient population in an outpatient environment. The position plays a critical role as a member of a full Patient Aligned Care Team (PACT) and is under the general supervision of the Medical Center’s Chief of Primary Care. The tour of duty for the position is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, and there may be some opportunity for expanded clinics. This position does not require the selected candidate to work night shifts, nor will they be on-call.
This Primary Care Physician will evaluate, detect, discuss, and manage a health plan with their patients to manage their overall well-being and treatment of any diseases / disorders that are diagnosed. The successful candidate will assess and determine the disposition of patients consistent with medical staff policy.
The successful candidate will work and live in “tax free” New Hampshire. This opportunity is located within a one-hour drive of the White Mountains, the Lakes Region and both the New Hampshire and Maine sea coasts. Manchester is within easy access of Boston – the largest metropolitan center in New England.
Candidates for this position should have a strong record of providing high-quality, direct patient-based clinical care.
This position is expected to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized treatment plans. The selected candidates may participate in educational activities and quality improvement.
The position requires US citizenship and an M.D. or D.O., full active and unrestricted license to practice medicine. Completion of residency in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine, and Board Certification or Board Eligibility is required.
