CLINICIAL RESEARCH FACULTY POSITION University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas Assistant/Associate Professor
The Division of General Internal Medicine at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center is seeking physician researchers with interests in epidemiology, outcomes, health services, population health, and comparative effectiveness research. Our research group has expertise include: epidemiology, outcomes, HSR, CER, quality, safety, disparities, predictive modeling, chronic disease management, cancer prevention, primary care, hospital medicine, palliative care, and population health research. Our large university, safety net, and VA health systems provide numerous opportunities for EMR-enabled, population-based observational and interventional research. The Department of Population and Data Sciences, Center for Patient-Centered Outcomes Research, and Center for Translational Medicine provide data cores (large dataset analysis, informatics, biostatistics, behavioral science, and patient, stakeholder and community engagement), as well as career development and mentoring opportunities.
The position requires a MD/DO degree, completion of an ACGME accredited Internal Medicine residency, be board certified in Internal Medicine, be eligible for a Texas license, and have completed a GIM or equivalent research methods fellowship. Faculty rank will be commensurate with experience. Faculty will also provide and supervise outpatient and inpatient care, and teach residents and medical students.
