Faculty Positions - Division of Healthcare Delivery Science and Innovation

Healthcare Delivery Science and Innovation is a new division within the Department of Population Health Science, the flagship health services research department of Weill Cornell Medicine and NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital. This new division, directed by Said A. Ibrahim, MD, MPH, MBA, envisions housing a cadre of MD and/or PhD investigators dedicated to careers in health services research focusing on healthcare delivery science, healthcare innovation and health equity. Of particular interest are fellowship and post-doc-trained junior faculty at the Assistant or early Associate Professor levels, who are committed to pursue research careers at the intersection of health care innovation/technology (i.e., Telemedicine/Virtual Care) and social determinants of health. Faculty in this division will leverage the burgeoning status of New York City as an epicenter of healthcare innovation as well as a number of academic healthcare affiliates on the Upper East Side of Manhattan including Cornell Tech, the Hospital for Special Surgery, and NewYork-Presbyterian, the premier healthcare system in New York City that includes NewYork -Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, NewYork-Presbyterian Queens, and NewYork-Presbyterian Lower Manhattan. Candidates should have a PhD or/and an MD with additional graduate training (e.g. MPH, MS, MBA, Post-Doc or fellowship training) and a commitment to pursue externally funded healthcare research in or related to one or more of the following areas: healthcare innovation, healthcare technology, healthcare delivery science, population health, digital/mobile health, social media and big data applications in healthcare delivery and innovation, integration of behavioral health and medical care, and impact of healthcare innovation on health equity, or measuring racial/gender/ethnic/socioeconomic status variations in healthcare. |
