Tufts Medical Center is seeking a Director of Primary Care Substance Use Disorders Programs to join our Internal Medicine team at the main hospital campus in Downtown Boston. We are a physician led, patient centered organization and looking to grow our Primary Care OBAT program to better serve our patients. In addition, the Director serves as the liaison to Tufts MC Addiction Psychiatry and participates in hospital-wide initiatives around substance use disorder. At Boston Primary Care, all of our physicians see patients between 1 and 8 clinical sessions/week, with 7 clinical sessions considered full-time for established and new physicians alike. Providers have the support of a 40+ physician practice but the collegiality of a tight knit group as physicians work in smaller teams. Generous support is in place with Social Workers onsite, Nurse Practitioners managing complex care patients, and Physician Assistants dedicated towards population health goals and opioid patient support. Other support onsite includes anticoagulation clinic, nursing staff, administrative coordinators and medical assistants. Our academic primary care practice cares for 40,000 patients and serves diverse patients from across Boston as well as our Chinatown Community with Mandarin and Cantonese speaking staff and clinicians. We are also dedicated to caring for the elderly and underserved in our practice with ACO teams of nurse care managers and community health workers who provide additional resources for these patient populations.
