Mercy Medical Group, a multi-specialty group with more than 450 healthcare providers in the Sacramento region, is looking to add a nurse practitioner to its busy Neurology department. We are looking to add a NP with a background in Neurosciences, preferably with prior program development experience. Responsibilities will include inpatient acute stroke care as a member of the Vascular Neurology Service and ambulatory care in the Vascular Neurology Clinic. This person will participate in multidisciplinary stroke team and staff education programs, actively screen patients for ongoing CVA/TIA trials, respond to the Emergency Department to consult on suspected TIAs and strokes, develop a follow-up care plan coordinating with the patients primary care provider or Neurologist. This will also involve coordination of an outpatient neurology clinic both for new consults of suspected TIA patients, as well as, follow-ups on previously diagnosed TIA patients. This opportunity offers a very competitive compensation and benefits package, including bonus potential and a very desirable retirement plan.
