JOB SUMMARY
The Nurse Practitioner/ Physician Assistant -Urgent Care/ED is a skilled member of the health team who provides medical and educational services to patients under the supervision of a licensed physician, according to Nurse Practitioner Protocol, and within the scope of the Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant License in the State of Wisconsin. This individual works within a cooperative department, utilizing team effort with health care providers, co-workers, and the public to provide positive patient interaction.
This will be a .5FTE role that will cover both the ED and UC departments. There will also be outreach to our Lake Hallie Center. Emergency Department shift will be 10am-10pm, Urgent Care shifts will be 8am-8pm and 8:30am-3pm on weekends. Weekend shifts will be every third weekend
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION
For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation.
Required Education: Master's degree nurse practitioner.

EXPERIENCE
Minimum Required: None
Preferred/Optional: Two years nursing experience.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES
The following licensure(s), certification(s), registration(s), etc., are required for this position. Licenses with restrictions are subject to review to determine if restrictions are substantially related to the position.
Minimum Required
- Current State of Wisconsin Registered Nurse License or Nurse Compact License.
- Nurse Practitioner Certification awarded by a national certifying body.
- Advanced Practice Nurse Prescriber Certification awarded by the State of Wisconsin.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) within three months of employment.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification awarded by the American Heart Association.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certification awarded by the American Heart Association.
Preferred/Optional: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) at time of hire.
