Duke Kernodle Clinic Pediatrics Seeks Primary Care Pediatrician

Duke Pediatrics is seeking a board certified primary care pediatrician to join the growing community (non-academic) Pediatrics Division of Kernodle Clinic with locations in Burlington and Elon, NC.  Kernodle Clinic currently has four Pediatricians and is seeking to add a position. Current call is 1:4 weekdays and weekends.

The Kernodle Clinic is Duke’s largest community-based multi-specialty practice with 53 providers in 15 medical and surgical specialties.  The ideal candidate will be patient centered, community focused, with a passion and desire to serve with humility and excellence.

 Centrally located in the piedmont area of North Carolina, Alamance County (pop. 155,000) includes the midsize communities of Burlington, Elon and Mebane, and straddles the Research Triangle and Piedmont Triad Regions of North Carolina. 

• Burlington, a city of progress and quality, boasts a population of more than 50,000. Burlington is located only a few hours’ drive from the picturesque Blue Ridge and Great Smoky Mountains to the west and the scenic coastal beaches to the east.
• The economy of the town of Elon is largely dominated by the adjacent Elon University. Elon University has been ranked as one of the most beautiful college campuses in the country by "Best College Review" and Best Run College by the Princeton Review.
• Historic Mebane, one of the fastest growing areas in North Carolina, is a fun place to be where eclectic and unique shopping, dining and activities abound!

The greater Burlington area boasts a low cost of living, friendly neighborhoods, good schools and abundant shopping. Just 30 minutes from Durham, Chapel Hill and Greensboro, this location provides residents the option of small town living with easy access to the area’s growth centers.  From a history in textiles and the railroad, to all the exciting things on the horizon, the greater Burlington area is a wonderful place to live.
