Overview
The Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) Fellowship Program Manager serves as an educational and professional development expert for new to practice Advanced Practice Nurses and is responsible for the overall coordination and management of the APN Fellowship program, including collaboration with nursing and physician leadership, curriculum development and implementation, and evaluation of the APN Fellow's progression. In addition to managing the fellowship program, the coordinator is responsible for orientation of new fellows, providing professional development opportunities, and clinical placement coordination for the fellows.
Responsibilities
Essential Job Functions:
- Provide educational leadership for professional nursing practice in alignment with the mission, vision, values, and goals of nursing and Magnet designation.
- Exemplify excellence in education, practice, and research through leadership and mentorship of APNs and through collaborative multidisciplinary relationships within the organization.
- Promote, disseminate, and integrate evidence-based practice, performance improvement and nursing research and innovation into clinical practice.
- Candidate will demonstrate and embrace the PRIDE core values (Professionalism, Respect, Involvement, Dignity and Excellence) in every aspect of their job.
- Candidate must have excellent communication and computer skills.
Qualifications
Education:
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required
- Master's degree as an Advanced Practice Nurse required
- Doctoral degree preferred
Licenses and Certifications:
- Current NJ licensure as an Advanced Practice Nurse required
- BLS required
Experience:
- 5 years of APN experience required
- 3-5 years clinical experience in critical care required
- Evidence of progressive leadership roles and responsibilities required
- Clinical education experience preferred
