In compliance with applicable New York and New Jersey State regulatory authorities, COVID-19 vaccination (2 doses of either the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine or one dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine) is mandatory for all MSK employees, contingent workers, and volunteers. Exceptions are permitted for those employees who request and receive an approved medical or fully remote exemption.
*Staff working at a MSK New Jersey location must be up to date with COVID-19 vaccination, which includes having completed the primary COVID-19 vaccination series and booster once eligible as mandated by New Jersey State. All New Jersey staff not yet eligible for a booster must receive a booster within 3 weeks of becoming eligible as a condition of continued employment at MSK.
Note: Individuals are eligible to receive a COVID-19 booster five months after receiving the second dose of either the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine or two months after the J&J vaccine.

Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) - Urgent Care Center and Clinical Decision Unit (DAYS)
Schedule: Flexed Days, 13 shifts per 4 weeks with weekend and holiday rotation
Job Description:
Our amazing team is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join the Urgent Care Center (UCC) and Clinical Decision Unit (CDU)! The APP will collaborate with designated physicians and healthcare team members to provide medical care to patients in the UCC/CDU.

- Flexible in your approach and demeanor in order to align with the shifting demands of evolving circumstances and service needs
You Will:- Be responsible for the evaluation and management of patients
- Order and interpret laboratory and radiographic tests
- Perform procedures such as paracentesis, thoracentesis and suturing of skin lacerations
- Facilitate admissions and discharges of patients
- Assist in the follow-up of discharged patients
- In-person and telephone triage
- Optimizing the flow of patients through the Urgent Care Center and Observation Unit
Qualifications needed:
- Graduate from an accredited PA program or Master's degree in Nursing with prescriptive privileges (or eligibility)
- National PA or NP certification
- NY State PA or RN/NP licenses (or qualified for state licensure)
- A minimum of 3 years of related clinical experience preferred
- Emergency Medicine, Urgent Care, Inpatient Hospital Medicine preferred
