IHA and St. Mary Mercy Livonia have an excellent full-time opportunity for a Board Certified Obstetrics Hospitalist to join a practice located in Livonia, Michigan.

The selected candidate will treat women in labor or respond to obstetric or gynecologic emergencies at the hospital depending on the needs of the unit. The selected candidate will be responsible for overseeing the clinical care of their patients and supporting the administrative posture of the practice/department by providing compassionate and respectful care and demonstrating efficient utilization of resources. 

St. Mary Mercy Birthing Center has 18 Birthing Suites and a Level 1 nursery. The Birthing Center has 24-hour Obstetric coverage with an in-house OB/Gyn as well as 24-hour in-house anesthesia coverage. The nursery is staffed by in house Neonatal Nurse Practitioners who are backed up by Neonatologists at St. Joseph Mercy Ann Arbor - our sister hospital in the Trinity Health system which is 20 miles southwest of St. Mary Mercy. The Birthing Center at St. Mary Mercy Hospital is a community hospital dedicated to personalized care of patients. 

The schedule is composed of 11-13 hour shifts inclusive of day/night coverage as well as weekend and holiday shifts.

Applicants must be Board Certified and have experience.
