St. Peter's Health Partners is seeking a full-time Consult Liaison Psychiatrist on behalf of Ellis Hospital located in Schenectady, New York.

Ellis Hospital is a 150-bed community hospital with inpatient Adult and Adolescent Psychiatric Units. The Ellis Psychiatry program has been helping adults overcome mental illness for more than 50 years and offering specialized services for children and adolescents.

The selected candidate will provide inpatient consultation coverage for patients at the Ellis Hospital campus and will work collaboratively with the Hospitalists, specialists, and community providers. The candidate will also provide psychiatric consultative services to the medical and surgical teams at Ellis Hospital including the ER. Consultations will focus primarily on patients with mental illness who have comorbid medical illness while in the hospital. Psychiatrists work with the Ellis Hospital behavioral health interdisciplinary team.

The schedule for this full-time opportunity is Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, however, we are also open to a 7 on/ 7 off schedule. Call rotation is 1:4 weekends.

Interested candidates should have the following:

• MD or DO
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry
• Experience treating an adult psychiatric patient population
• Fellowship in Psychosomatic Medicine/Consultation Liaison preferred
• Experience in an inpatient setting is also preferred
• DEA Licensure/NYS licensure required
• New graduates are encouraged to apply
