Position Information:
The APD is responsible for precepting, teaching, supervision, assessment and feedback of WakeMed IM residents at assigned sites in continuity clinic and/or hospital setting. Responsible for providing direction related to the outpatient or inpatient residency curriculum as applicable and provide oversight of quality improvement activities and clinical performance metrics conducive to education of residents in ACGME competency areas. The APD will work to organize clinic schedules for residents, provide strategic and operational planning for continuity clinic(s), serve as member of clinical competency and program evaluation committees, participate in residency recruitment/selection process, integrate quality improvement projects, prepare and present didactic curriculum, assist in coordination of other inpatient/outpatient rotations, collaborate with leadership team on process improvements and patient care initiatives. Position will serve as the director for the residency clinic and primary preceptor for residents in the outpatient clinic setting. Clinic site: Advance Community Health, a FQHC in southeast Raleigh in close proximity to the WakeMed Raleigh campus.
