As the state’s only osteopathic medical school, our college was founded in 1975 and the main campus is located at Ohio University’s Athens, Ohio campus. Our central Ohio campus in Dublin, Ohio, opened for classes July 2014.
We are recruiting for a primary care faculty position. For the purpose of this position, primary care is defined as family medicine, internal medicine, and pediatrics. The successful applicant should possess a strong desire to teach and advise osteopathic medical students within our curriculum and contribute to the development of the College through leadership, teaching and service. Candidates must have outstanding leadership, management, and interpersonal skills to relate to a wide diversity of faculty, staff, students and community members.
We are seeking to fill one primary care physician half-time (0.5 FTE) faculty teaching position at the HCOM-Dublin campus, with responsibilities to include:
• Prepare and perform didactic instruction for osteopathic medical students, including small group facilitation and clinical skills laboratory sessions, and serve as a clinical liaison/facilitator for long-distance learning.
• Serve as advisor and mentor to osteopathic medical students.
• Collaborate and participate in departmental/OU-HCOM activities.
• Serve on OU-HCOM committees as assigned.

Must be residency-trained D.O. or M.D., hold Ohio licensure and appropriate board certification or eligibility. Preference given to candidates with prior undergraduate or graduate level medical education teaching experience.
