The University of Utah is seeking an Internal Medicine Medical Director to lead a well-established Internal Medicine practice at one of our clinics, Madsen Internal Medicine. This position is well-suited for a motivated and enthusiastic faculty physician with skills to support faculty and staff as well as partner with the nurse manager and division leadership. Eligible candidates must have at least 3 years of clinical experience and preferably some leadership experience.
Highlights of this position include:
1 cFTE protected time for medical directorship (full time position would include 28 hours of direct patient care)

University of Utah Health is the only academic medical center in the state of Utah and provides patient care for the people of Utah, Idaho, Wyoming, Montana, western Colorado, and much of Nevada. The faculty of the Division of General Internal Medicine has extensive clinical, educational, investigative, and leadership responsibilities within the Department of Internal Medicine and across the Health Sciences campus. The division includes 105 full-time faculty members with expertise in primary care, hospital medicine, palliative care, and medical ethics and humanities.
Madsen Internal Medicine provides well-known and well-respected care to patients within the Salt Lake Valley and beyond. Services within the clinic include a collaborative team approach with clinical pharmacists, social work, and care management. It is also the site of the university resident clinic. Within the building are Family Medicine, Women’s Health and Geriatrics as well as pharmacy, laboratory and radiology services.
One-of-a-kind Salt Lake City is a fast-growing city in the Mountain West and blends the amenities of a large metropolitan area with the personality of a small town, along with easy access to nature. The city is 30 min from mountain resorts and is the home to home to a variety of lively arts, sports and cultural events. Within the state, there are five national parks waiting to be explored.
