The Department of Radiology and Imaging in the Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible radiologist with fellowship training in Neuroradiology for a faculty position at the Assistant Professor to Professor rank. Duties will include teaching medical students, supervising residents, mentoring fellows and providing clinical care to patients. Candidates will be providing clinical services at Augusta University Medical Center, Veterans Administration Medical Center, and Children’s Hospital of Georgia (all on the same main campus), as well as our freestanding outpatient imaging center (7 miles from main campus).
Candidates must have graduated from an approved medical university, possess a Medical Degree or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine, fellowship training in Neuroradiology, board-certification/eligibility by the American Board of Radiology, and ability to obtain a Georgia medical license. Applicants should be competent in all aspects of diagnostic neuroradiology. Experience in interventional neuroradiology procedures (e.g. epidural injections, biopsies, vertebral augmentation) is a plus, but not required. Academic time is provided and new research projects are encouraged. Academic rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications. Our hospital is a regional referral center for trauma, oncology, neuro oncology, neurosurgery, head and neck surgery, spine surgery, epilepsy, dementia care, and organ transplantation.
